Hello, Have all recent security updates (post SP2). Can a cd be created with
the updates installed on my unit? If I make a cd will WindowsXP be able to
install these updates? The recent updates are located in C:\Windows\$hf_mig$.

Once the updates have been installed you cannot "retrieve" them from the
installation to put on another system. You can, however, download the
individual update files from MS from the windows update catalog. These
files can be saved to disk and burned to Cd.

Hi,

Those are the backups used for uninstalling an update. If you want to make a
CD, go to the WindowsUpdate site and use the administrator options to
download the ones you want.
