When I attempt to run windows update, I get the message:
Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX
controls on this page. As a result, the page may not
display correctly.

I am the only user on this machine.

How can I fix this?

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Click Security tab
Click "Default Level" button
Click OK and follow prompts.

If that fails, try #16 on the Windows Update Checklist:

Then try the rest of the Windows Update checklist.
