I downloaded the security update (above), this caused an
error on the boot up in Windows (98 2nd) as follows:

"Memory access violation in Module Kernel32 at 4697:
69265159. Also, when I try to run the MSconfig program
I get a similar error and MSconfig will no longer load.

Can anyone help? Tnx

Jim,

Was this "security update" an attachment to an email? If it was, then your
system may have become infected with a rather nasty email virus.

This newsgroup is devoted to Database Security in the database development
product, Microsoft Access. So, I am recommending that you get more
information from a newsgroup devoted to the broader subject of internet
security:

microsoft.public.security

microsoft.public.security.virus

Just to add to Cheryl's probably accurate assumption,
there is no Article ID #Q515872 in my search of the KB
articles. I sense a major disturbance in the Force!
