Security agent blocked User Shell %Profile%

Nathan Swift

Installed MS Anti-spyware and had checked to block User
Shell Folder, not realizing that this was Group Policy
trying to redirect desktop and My Documents to the server.
I am now experiencing error at log in. "Can't Access this
folder. Path is Too Long" Error. Went into MS anti spyware
and removed the blocks placed in View System Agent Check
Points. Still getting the message error. Any ideas?

Nathan,

I hope we find a fix for this! I have the same problem,
one of my users blocked his Desktop Redirection and now
his desktop won't work. I have since started desctivated
the Checkpoint for "User Shell Folders", but I can't find
out how to fix that user's problem and redirect him back
to his desktop...

Any help from a Microsoft AD or MSAS person would help...

FWIW, I recommend that you post in a server or AD related group.

I've seen this issue posted since the beta began, and I'm chagrinned to say
that I don't know the answer, and haven't seen it posted here. I don't
think that this is so much an issue with some hidden setting in Microsoft
Antispyware, as it is with AD or policy.

But I'm really not sure at all--and I don't use this mechanism in my SBS
offices, so I can't easily try to replicate it.
