Secure web site problem

I have a computer with Internet Explorer 6.

When you brows the internet, you do not have a problem.

The problem

You go to ebay... you click the sign in link, and it will not load the page
to allow to log in.

When you go to a shopping site, you can shop and add everything to the cart.
When you go to check out, it will not load the page.

It appears that IE will not allow to display any secure web page.

please start me in teh right direction

Hi Brian :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you have, so I will have to take a
guess as some suggestions. Try the following and see it if helps:

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443. See also

Check the hosts file. Probably entries there that prohibit going to those
sites.

also.

Tools>Internet Options>Privacy
Click Sites.
Enter each of the websites you can not access and click Always Allow:

If the above does not help, check the following...

Also..... try adding the site to your Trusted Zone.

If you have Zone Alarm, you might also check the Trusted area there too:
