Searching for Polymorphics browsers

On regular mode, at the end of the scan, I
get "polymorphics browsers hijackers" and my CPU is at
100%.

I have tried in "safe mode" so no other program's will
interfer with the scan. I also done this scan without
being connected to the net. Result:

At the end of the scan when it get's to "C:\documents &
settings\my name\..." it freezes there. On the scan, this
time on safe mode, it is marked: "variable browser
hijack scan" and my CPU goes up to 100%.

Well, I can never get a complete scan.

Where does it scan after "c:\documents & settings" ?

When I scan with: McAfee VirusScan 7.03, SpyBot, AdAware,
TDS-3, SpySweeper, Bazooka or A2, I never have any
problems to scan.

What is wrong with Microsoft AntySpyware?

I have a Hp pavillion 6645C with Celeron 566, 512mb of
ram, hard disk of 40 gigs and 30 gigs free space, WinXP
Pro....

I've seen other similar reports in this beta, but no resolutions. How long
have you let it run? I've also seen reports where an apparent hang was
resolved after periods of 45 minutes to a couple of hours, as I recall.

Guess the only thing left to me to do is uninstall this
useless program.

Have you tried cleaning with other products?

Please check again when beta2 is released. I expect to see a number of
changes. I don't know if they will have fixed this behavior which makes the
program useless in your situation, but it will be worth checking.
