Search Engines won't come up

I cannot pull up some search engines for some reason.
When I try to access the following search engines,
something else entirely comes up:
search.yahoo.com
search.msn.com
www.google.com
www.alltheweb.com
www.altavista.com
The address in the address bar is correct, but
another "search engine" comes up. It is a completely
useless "search engine," and refers me exclusivey to pay
sites. McAfee can find nothing. Ever heard of this?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
