Search Companion Solution!

Okay, I've read a lot of questions about the search assistant and most havn't
had any answers so I'm going to answer them. This should work for just about
all the questions, depending on waht exactly you want.

If you are missing the Search Companion/Assistant when you go into Search in
Explorer or Internet Explorer, then to get it back is simple.
Install TweakUI from the following link:

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once you have installed it, run it. on the left there is a tree menu. Find
explorer and expand it. On the right in the check box field, scroll down to
find 'Use Classic Search in Explorer' and 'Use Classic Search in Internet
Explorer'. Make sure they are UN-CHECKED! Now run Search and you should have
your Search Companion/Assistant back. If not, you may have to enable another
option...

To do this, there should be a 'Change Preferences' Link. Click it, and a new
menu should come up. Click the 'With an animated screen character' and your
Search Companion/Assistant should appear.

If you have any problems in this process or about Search assistant, I may be
able to help.
