Hey
When I try to scroll my computer crashes, I thought it's Word fault,
but Visual Studio and very rare Internet Explorer also crashes...
Always when I scroll a text. I tried many things... I changed drivers
thousends times. And nothing... still wrong. I even reinstall windows (
format C: drive ). Nothing nothing nothing. But when I try to play a
game max details... and it's working... How to make it to scroll a text
in a right way ( without hang up ? ). Sometimes VRU works good and
catches error but it's also rare. My computer :
ATI Radeon 9200 SE ( Canyon )
ECS P4VAXSD2+ ( motherboard )
Windows XP + SP2 + the newest drivers from ATI ( sucks ).
What can I do ?

Memory configuration on this system?

Hey
I am not sure, if you mean how much MB but it's 1GB DDR. In BIOS I set
the apperture for AGP is 128MB. There were no problems with this
computer until changing to ATI Radeon 9200 ( last good config - Geforce
MX 440 ).

I had the same problem one time with a system. I played with all the
settings in the bios and the only way I could get it to work was to lower
the agp aperature to the lowest setting. Later I found my problem was
caused by my power supply. When ever I would scroll fast on programs it
would hang my computer. I change the power supply to a beefer one. I put agp
back up and never had a problem again. I have had no problems with the
latest ATI drivers on my AIW 9600XT. They work great and gave me increase
fps in doom3. How many watts is your power supply? I have a 450 watt supply.
2 hard drives dvd burner the works.

Hi
I accidently tried a RTF document in a word... everything works great.
And I also tried to unplug everythink beside my hdd, I unpluged, cdrom,
dvd-rom, secondary hdd, additional fan , so I believe that card should
have enough power to live with it. But my system still crashing
sometimes it's enough to run a word document. it also crashes, when I
try to select anything on windows update site ( this yellow boxes
describing what's the update about ( not tool tips ! ). I am now sure
about my power supply but it says it;s total 350 but there is some
thing about load 200W ( 3 + 5 V ) or something like this. But I
believe, that after I unplug everything the card should have enough
power. The other strange thing is tthat in pdf files, or www ( most )
the scrolling works great !

On my lowest AGP aperature nothing changes.

You say you've got 1 gig RAM, presumably in 2 x 512Mb sticks. Try removing
them one stick at a time and see if still happens. When you do this,
alternate the DIMM slot used as well. I've had a system where one 512Mb
stick of PC2700 memory tested flawlessly with memtest, but the system had
random glitches where MS Word would crash with larger graphical documents,
and IE would randomly crash (but not all the time)for no reason. It was the
culprit, but because it was so random, and only occured in certain apps and
conditions, it was hard to pinpoint.
