Script error

Had a major crash of win me. since restoring, i cannot
downlod and install using IE 6.o. keep getting ie explorer
script errors Such as "object doesn't support the property
or method "objlog..start log or sometimes script error
object required gobjreg. This happens when I attempt to
download and reinstall my virus scan (Mcafee) or perfrom
upgrades to IE or me. Can't uninstall IE from control
panel "add /remove" applet.
