Screwless Case?

R

roger

I would like to buy a SCREWLESS case with following specs:

2 51/4" external bays
6 31/2" internal bays
at least a 400W PSU
a couple of front USB ports

My Googling has shown none that I see.

Anyone? Do I have to buy case and PSU separately?

Thank you

I have found that screwless hard drive trays can sort of buzz with the
vibration of the drive. Your business is your own, but screws are
tremendous fasteners.
Really.

I have used some Dells with their slide in brackets, and I never
noticed anythine like that. But maybe Rosewill brackets are less
tight.

Thanks

Here's mine, bought a while ago with slide-in HDD
capability.

I bought a PSU separately and the case has a
feature to clip this in (Thermaltake type).

Even though this works OK, some case with the bays
rotated 90deg (to face the front) would make
inserting HDDs much easier because the M/board
wiring tends to get in the way. Additionally
this case is wider than usual and this makes
installing easier.

I think not available on Amazon, Newegg, or PCPartspicker.

Interesting case though.

From the discussion, I take it you mean screwless HDD mounting?
2 51/4" external bays
6 31/2" internal bays

Anyways, I have a Coolermaster HAF 912+. It has what you want but it's
usually sold without PSU AFAIK. The plus model is sold in Europe but the
differences between 912, 912+ and 912 Advanced are only in what fans are
installed by default. HAF stands for high air flow which means there's
mountings for a lot of fans: 200 mm fan in the front and top, 120 mm in
the back, 140 mm on the side. Don't have to mount all that, of course
but you'll probably want decent airflow to keep all six drives cool.

USB ports aren't 3.0 if that's a consideration. Drive mounting is with
plastic tab things.
