Screensavers and multi monitor setup

Hi

I am using two monitors and am having a problem with some OpenGL
screensavers. They only display on the Primary monitor. The secondary
monitor doesn't blank or display the screensaver.

The ones that come with Plus do work, in that they blank the second monitor
out while other screensavers (2D I guess) like the logo one work fully
across both.

Is this a fault?

If so can anybody help with how I might fix it?

Regards

Hi Ade
Like you I'm using 2 monitors.Same problem. The reason is that the
screensavers don't have the code written in them for multi-monitor
display. From what I found out is that there are very few screensavers
specifically written for XP multimonitor.I sortof live with that(until
I find out how to rewrite the code). However there is a way in XP to us
your own pictures as a sceensaver.Offhand I don't remember exactly ho
to set this up.What I use now is a program from
http://www.gphotoshow.com (trial ware) (full version about $18 I think
EXcellent program.Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much out
there with multimonitor support.
I also use gPhoto show to display the images of other screen savers.
(Doesn't always work because of proprietary code)
Hope this helps.
Cheers, P

Thanks for that dutchie. I sort of suspected the answer would be something
like that :-(
The use your own photos thing is part of Plus! It adds a screensaver called
"My Photos" I think. It works well enough, but it would be really nice to
have some of these wicked looking 3D savers running )

Anyway, thanks again.

Hi Ade,

This is by design, in that some screensavers don't have the correct
code to appear on both monitors. As far as I know, it is not a fault
of the system at all.

Good luck, hope this helps.
