screen saver means no server found in outlook express

I am unable to give you the exact message here, but after my system
Windows XP goes into any screen saver or power standby, I am unable to access
the internet after coming out of the screensaver/power standby. I am
physically able to log on to my isp, but I go to check mail, and it says
"unable to connect to mail server," or when I try to bring up IE, it gives
me a, "page not found" error. I have to restart the system and then
everything is fine until it starts the screensaver again. Without doing the
obvious, (never using a screensaver or powering down,) how can I fix this
problem.
I have XP Home Edition.

Are you on dial-up or DSL? I am thinking that the power management settings
are turning off your network card....you can disable that feature on the
power management tab of the network cards properties...
If you are using a modem, I would look for an updated driver...
