Screen goes blank after win xp logo

i see the logo for win xp home edition then screen goes
blank this is first time I booted systems and i here it go
to the screen where you enter your name and so on. but the
screen is blank i cant see but by the music i know what
screen its on. How can i fix the monitor from going blank

Hi:

If this is your first boot, wait a bit of longer because it could be the
system is trying to recognize and configure your hardware.

The login screen may or may not appear - depending on how the account user
is being setup up.

You could do that later.

If you are sure that you are already in and it's the monitor problem - try
to use F8 during initial boot and enter into Safe Mode. In safe mode, you
VGA and Monitor driver will not be loaded, and you can see if it's a problem
of conflict.
