Scheduled scan doesn't run and error 0x800700002

Bill, I found it.
The top item is "Add Schedule Task" (There is no "Start using the task
scheduler.")
The secon item is "MP Scheduled Scan At 9:00 PM every day ....... (Creator
is System)
The third item is "Windows Defender At 9:00
pm............................(Creator is Tony)
So now what do I do?

Well, I'd delete the job that has creator Tony--and see whether the System
job runs properly--test it by right-clicking and choosing Run.

Ok, that worked. (hopefully it will run at the scheduled time of 9 pm daily.

Bill just to be sure, am I to leave the setting under Tools in the Defender
app itself set for 9 pm daily or do I uncheck that.

If you change the setting in defender, it will change that hidden scheduled
job (the "system" one)

You may also be able to change the characteristics of that job
yourself--i.e. make it run at 9:30, for example, rather than 9--but for now,
I'd leave it alone and lets see whether it'll work the way it is designed
to. I'd also go back to the advanced menu choice and hide the hidden tasks
again, unless you like looking at them.
