Hello,
When I attempt to use the scenario editor, I get the an error and when I
check the details fo that error I get the following:

EventType : BEX P1 : EXCEL.EXE P2 : 11.0.5612.0 P3 : 3f39ff9d
P4 : EXCEL.EXE P5 : 11.0.5612.0 P6 : 3f39ff9d P7 : 0037c13f
P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000

looking further:
C:\DOCUME~1\Pat\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER44ac.dir00\EXCEL.EXE.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Pat\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER44ac.dir00\appcompat.txt

those are the files when i view more on the technical error.

The process:

I have a capital budgeting spreadsheet I am working on and select approx. 13
to 16 cells to be part of a scenario. I add the scenario, name it and select
the cells to be part of the scenario. When I click "OK" after it goes to
that error and closes out excel.

What I've Tried:

I've tried repairing office, with no luck. Any further information on the
subject would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

Pat, I am getting the same

EventType : BEX P1 : EXCEL.EXE P2 : 11.0.5612.0 P3 : 3f39ff9d

P4 : EXCEL.EXE P5 : 11.0.5612.0 P6 : 3f39ff9d P7 : 0037c13f

P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000

looking further:
C:\DOCUME~1\Pat\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER44ac.dir00\EXCEL.EXE.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Pat\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER44ac.dir00\appcompat.txt

those are the files when i view more on the technical error.

The problem with my excel file is that it will not save, I can change the
document but not save it. When I try I get the above.

So I followed one of the suggestions on the following web site

http://www.dotxls.
com/excel-recovery/40/if-the-corrupted-excel-file-is-open-or-can-be-opened

The one that suggest saving it as a HTML webpage and then resaving it in MS
office excel.

Hope this helps

Ty
