I have a EPSON STYLUS SCAN 2500....Now that I have installed WinXP, my
Scanner won't work...It was fine with Win98 & ME
When I try using the Scanner I get an Error...."Cannot access the scanner
because another application is using it" I don't want to use Windows
Wizard to scan as I prefere to use my scanner as is with all its functions
such as: Scan to App, Scan to email, Scan to OCR...
Any help would be appreciated....:)

Install the Windows XP drivers available from the website of the equipment
manufacturer. Oh! They don't have any! Time for a new scanner.

Try updating to the win2k drivers, as previously stated.
If that doesnt work uninstall it and re-install using the win2k drivers.

If all else fails, a new scanner sounds like the best way.
I think its crazy discontinuing drivers for the latest OSs. Makes my blood
boil.

Nevermind, onwards and upwards.
