Scanner installation

Trying to install HP ScanJet 3300C on Sony Vaio w/XP
2002. The test says it's ok, but nothing happens to turn
on scanner. An "undefined program error 2117", appears.
PC also won't go into stand by mode, get a keyboard error.

The keyboard error is often caused by your having outdated drivers.... if
it's a Microsoft keyboard, the Intellitype drivers can be found at:
www.microsoft.com/hardware

As for the ScanJet problem, the answer is at HP's website which has a patch
for using this scanner with WindowsXP.
