Scanner/Camera wizard won't delete pics on Sony T1

hello,

I have a Sony T1 digital camera and it has a usb driver mode which
pops up the windows camera wizard when connected, so far so good.
However, the "delete pictures..." option in the windows wizard is
ghosted (annoying since I have to go back and manually delete the
pictures).

I really like the wizard, but wondering if anyone has gotten it to
work with "delete pics" enabled. It works fine on my Canon camera,
just not the cybershot for some reason.

btw, the image transfer Sony sw that comes with the camera is
horrible.

Is there 3rd party image capture sw that works as good or better than
the windows camera wizard?

Some camera maker will not let you delete photo files with the XP wizard and
Sony is one of them. After you copy the photos on your hard drive and make
a copy on a CD, open your camera menu and select FORMAT. This will delete
all files and the card is ready again.
