scanner and camera wizard option not on my xp

I bought a sony Cybershot and have had no luck getting
it to down load pics. It communicates with the computer and is even shown
as a device in the control panel under Imaging devices. It doesnt show any
errors.

My instructions say that when it is plugged in the Scanner and Camera wizard
will automatically open. Well it doesnt. So Im talking with a Sony tech
and they said if it doesnt open , just go to Accessories under the Programs
menu and start it from there. Well it doesnt exist anywhere in the Programs
menus.

I found that my camera does not support Windows Image Aqcuisition with is a
must in XP. I have to go to Sony to get support on this. However, I want to
make sure I have the Scanner and Camera wizard on my system before I go
running around. How do determine if it is on my system and if not how do
I install it.

Scanners and Cameras Wizard is found in control panel.
Click on start | and then click on control panel.

you will see that in control panel.
