Saving web pictures.

I used to collect pictures from the web using Windows ME and Paint Shop Pro. When I try it now using XP, I only get 2 options after right clicking on the picture : save as "art" or "bmp". I select "bmp" but when I try to save it Paint Shop Pro tells me it is not a "jpeg" or "jif" file and cant be saved! What am I doing wrong?

It's time to perform some house cleaning chores:

Go to Start > Run and type: CLEANMGR.EXE , and hit enter.
This will start your disk cleanup utility. Make sure to cleanup
your Temporary Internet Files.

I experienced this problem when using AOL as my ISP.
The file would save, but be in a form not usable by PSP
or Paint, etc. The solution was to stop any compression
on graphics in the Explorer browser as used by AOL. The
images then were saved as BMP's and could be changed to
JPEG's if desired in either Paint or PSP. Hope this may
be of help. Don
