Saving passwords

I'm having trouble saving passwords in Outlook and outlook express. No
matter what I do I have to re-enter my password every time I load Outlook.
I've followed Knowledge base 836664 and Knowledge base 264672 . To no
avail.
Is there any way to remove and rebuild the registry file in total?
Or any other help would be appreciated.
