Saving Passwords

I am having problems with IE not saving my username and passwords even though
it asks me if i want to save it. I have looked thru the past posts on here
and have tried everything. I have XP MEdia Center and IE6. I have a laptop
with Win2K Pro and all of the web sites I have attempted save the passwords
in 2000 Pro. Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you

I saw that article earlier and tried everything on it. It didn't work. I
also tried another recommendation in an earlier thread that seemed to work
for someone else, but it didn't work for me.

I set up a new user account and nothing changed. I tried the article you
linked below but it said I couldn't delete the entry. My registry was a
little different than the article showed. The registry name that they show
was listed 2nd on my list, not right underneath. The name right underneath
was an abbreviated version of the other one. Instead of
S-1-5-21-############, it was just S-1-5-18.

Hi,
A new user account didn't work?

Try the registry edit in this article:
885180- The AutoComplete feature does not work after you enable it in
Internet Explorer on a computer that is running Windows XP Home:
