Save/Save As has no other choice except *.bmp

Recently when trying to save pics, right clicking results in only one choice for file type, and that as a *.bmp file. When I right-click on the pic, Properties show that it is a .jpg file-type, but I cannot save it as a jpg file. What do I need to adjust or change to as a default for jpg? Thanks. Jack
