Save prompt

When I close a Word document (I'm using Word 2003), I'm suddenly not getting
the ""Do you want to save the changes you made to document __________?"
prompt.
I find this prompt useful. How did I turn it off/how do I get it back?
I installed Update for Office 2003 KB907417 and Office 2003 SP 2 a few days
ago.

The update you cite has been causing all kinds of problems since it was
released. Try removing the update (Control Panel/Add Remove programs) and see
if the "normal" behavior resumes.
