Sasser Worm

If I could "download" a fix for the Sasser Worm which has
infected my Windows XP system, I would but the worm has
infected the capability to stay connected to the
internet. I get connected...a few seconds later the PC
shuts down windows and reboots. Help!!!! I spent one and
3/4 hours holding for support but did not get through.
What should be my next step?

uplug network cable
enable firewal
reconnect cabl
do patches

Next time you log on....go to start and then run...type
cmd to go to DOS..and next time it says system shutdown..
type shutdown -a .. that will abort the shutdown and
you can then fix the prob

Since the computer is already infected, more than the patches are
needed.
The patches are preventative.
