Sandisk Ultra II non removable?

Is anyone using the Sandisk utility to mark the Ultra II cards as
non-removable?
I have an old sandisk utility from 2003 and it works on the standard speed
but not the Ultra models.
I'm wondering if when I get the updated one if it will work or not

I asked Sandisk about this a number months ago and they responded that they
do not support this capability for the Ultra II. I have the utility for
marking the standard cards as fixed.
I was able to use the Ultra II card with the microdrive driver, but haven't
done much testing with it. It appears to work fine and is seen as fixed by
XPe.

When I pop a new off the shelf Ultra II, it is seen as removable.
Are you saying the Microdrive driver changes that?

Yes. After you transfer your image to this CF and assuming that you get it
to boot, etc. it will be seen by the XPe OS as removable. You then have to
update the driver and select the Hitachi driver instead of the default.
After the reboot, it will be seen as non-removable.

I just received the updated utility from Sandisk.
I was able to get the Ultra II to be set as non removable.
In my setup I have a C drive that boots to dos.
I used the following command line arguments to the utility
...../S /F /1

Man, the Sandisk is slow!!!!!
My boot time is almost twice as long with the Ultra II as the Transcend 45x
