Samsung ML-2510 Issue

Laser printer.

When I print, the text on the right side of the paper fades. I took out
the cartridge and gave it a good shake - no joy. I've printed less than
300 pages over the 7-8 mos I've had it and it worked great up until the
last 20 pages or so.

I found little to no help online, other than some others w/ same
problem. Installing a new cartridge does not fix. Margin setting are
all correct, which I've never changed.

With Amazon's return policy it's not worth returning it after this
amount of time. Hopefully someone here can help in some way. Thanks.

Indeed the most common cause of one side faded print with laser printers
is low toner that isn't properly distributed within the cartridge. When
you say you shook the cartridge do you mean up and down? That won't
help and may hurt. Usually, you gently rock the cartridge back and
forth (side to side) while keeping it level to try to shift some of the
over toward the area which is not printing well. Then, as if the
cartridge was on a wavy boat, lower one end a few inches and then the
other, back and forth a few times.

Other things can cause this as well, such as an optical drum failure,
contamination of the toner drum, a dirty mirror not allow the laser to
focus in that area, etc.

Is the area the same density along the entire edge, or is it "scalloped
or rippled, Does it stay the same width consistently? Is the edge
where it goes from light to darker very sharp or doe sit fade in/out?
