Safe to delete?

I hope I am posting this in the right area, anyway I have 35+ folders in
my windows folder that are, blue text ( I know that means compressed)
and they all have the same name except for a 6 digit numberon the end
with a $. Here is an example: $NtUninstallKB905414$ , each of these
folders have 1 subfolder
called " spuninst " all of these subfolders have the same 4 files in
them. 1 of these 4 files is a .txt file with 2 or more lines with copy
file commands, never the same file(s) is being copied.

My question is .... can I delete these folders and files?

Thanks, and sorry for the long story.

These are the uninstall folders for various MS service patches or
updates. Each folder is related to a patch or update listed in the
Add/Remove program in the control panel. If you delete a folder, then
you'll not be able to uninstall that patch or update.

However, if you are certain you don't need to uninstall a patch or
update, then you can delete those folders. THEN go back to the
Add/Remove program and select delete for that particular folder and
the entry will be removed.
