safe mode vanished

I have no more ability to boot into the safe mode menu.
My PC is a 99 Gateway pentium III, 500 mhz, with 2 hard
drives, 384 mb RAM, and a dual boot system with XP Home,
and Linux Suse 9.0. I ran the error checking and the
system file checker tool as well. Also I had the Recovery
Console installed as a boot option as well, and it is no
longer there either. I did run a scan for viruses and for
spyware, none found. So how can I restore the windows
advanced options menu with safe mode and the others ?

Check your boot.ini timeout value. One way to do that is to open
the System tool in Control Panel, and then click the Advanced tab
in the System Properties dialog box. Under the "Startup and
Recovery" section click the Settings button. Then next to "Time
to display list of operating systems:" make certain a value other
than 0 (zero) is selected.

Since you are running a dual-boot system with a Microsoft OS and
Linux Suse, I suggest that you research the following suggestions
before you try them. You can find peer-to-peer support for
