Runtime errors - ActiveX

Hello,

On boot up my PC is showing 2 dialog boxes with 'Update' labels, no
indication of what program update is the generator, perhaps the O/S, as
it occurs on boot; contents ==>

[ii] Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object
The other -
Run-time error '424': Object required

Anyone with ideas of how to correct this and eliminate the source if
necessary

Thanks

A funny one, a fix to a fix
it has fixed the ActiveX problem
for several people, getting this problem after installing KB896688):

http://patch-info.de/IE/Downloads/OLEfix.zip

Extract it and double click the contained OLEfix.reg file.

Wishfull thinking - none of my suggestions worked , may work for someone
else. Beginning to think this may be the result of a Symantec Norton's
System Work installation ---- WHAT A PEICE OF CRAP!!!!!! Has been an
endless source of headaches and no resolution from their Customer
Service except suggestions to reformat disk
