Runs Very Slow

my internet explorer has been running very slow lately..
mtv.com makes the browser freeze up.. ive defragged my
computer.. gotten rid of my 500 and some mp3s.. ive
cleaned off my computer i never use.. my resourses are up
at 83%.. i reset my internet browser settings to default..
could i possibly have a virus? my computer should be
working fine, its a hp 700mhz celeron with 128mb of ram..
can anyone give me some advice BESIDES saving everything
and starting from scratch?? thanks a million if you can
help me..

Where you/are you running Kazaa or other MP3 file-share application?
