Running Processes in background

Hi folks,
I have recently done a virus check with no fewer than 5 programs whic
checked for viruses, trojans, spyware, etc but none have noticed wha
I'm about to say next.
When I go into Task manager, under processes there are maybe 6 program
running at the one time, changing every few seconds but eating up mos
of my CPU percentage. I also have the little egg timer which doubles a
the cursor flashing every couple of seconds. All the processes are legi
and I haven't got the "winlogin.exe" which is a known virus. I canno
explain this, but it is upsetting the performance of my internet usag
as it is much slower so if anyone has ANY ideas, we can hopefully tak
it further and find out the cause of the problems. I haven't see
anything like it, but one thing I will say is that when I shut down
get the message "DLL initialisation failed..." and mentions somethin
about LFLCERT6.exe and IPSBDSL1.exe. After searching the internet fo
these commands, I cannot find a thing about them. Maybe they ar
related with my problem, maybe not, but please help me as I would lik
to enjoy my computer again !

Thanks,
Johnny

Thanks guys....I'll run a few programs again to check for spyware and
see what the results are this time. If I posted the logs could you
tell from these ?

I searched for hidden files and found 86850 files.....is this normal ?

I have searched for spyware and found there to be none on the
system......so therefore it HAS to be a virus.

Can you think of any reason at all why my CPU usage would be at 100%
and about 6 processes running or what virus this would be connected
to?

For the record, I believe this virus came about by me using LIMEWIRE
which I visited often to download things.

Instead of actually searching for hidden files, search for LFLCERT6.exe and
IPSBDSL1.exe.

Make sure that you have these options set in Search...
1. Click Start, click Search, click All files and folders, and then click
More advanced options.
2. Click to select the Search system folders and Search hidden files and
folders check boxes.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
