Running Access through browser

M

Mark A. Sam

Hello,

Within the last couple years I am pretty sure that I thought that there were
a couple of programs that allowed applications to be run from a browser. I
thought Microsoft offered it, and that it was under the title, Embedded Thin
Client. I remember the literature saying that you sent an invitation file
to a prospective user with a file to set them up. I can't seem to find
anything like that now. Is anyone familiar with this?

Thanks for any help and God bless,

Mark A. Sam

Yes..you are thinking of Terminal Services.

And, yes..if you run internet server + Terminal Services, then you can dish
out any windows application via a web browser.

In the case of Terminal Services..the browser does have to download a
activeX control. (so, airport internet kiosks might not work for example).
However, for the most part..any computer you have access to..you can launch
the web browser..and then run your application (presumably ms-access in
this case).

Thanks Albert. My client is all set then with terminal services. His
network guy may know what to.

God Bless,

Mark
