RUNDLL?

hi. please help...
everytime I reboo the computer, I have this error message window: "error
loading C:/program~1...... the specied module could not be found". I've
already unchecked it on "msconfig" and on the c:/. And I went to the "add or
remove programs", it's listed there, I tried to remove it but I still have
the exact same error message. This happened after I ran a virus scan. How can
I get rid of that start up error message? I'm using winXP SP2. Thanks very
much in advance.

The message means that your system was (and possibly still is) infected, and
your anti-virus program found and removed malware.

What it didn't remove is the launcher. You should be able to find the
reference in msconfig, but it's not always clear what it is. From
msconfig, you go to either the startup folder or registry and remove the
entry.

You can also try running HiJackThis, which does require some knowledge to
use; it can be very effective.

You should also clear out all the temp folders and browser caches. The
free utility, ccleaner, can be very helpful for this. Run it on each user
account. This will also speed up virus scans.

Look for the "other builds" link and take the slim install, which does not
have the extra toolbar that you likely don't need.

Be aware that if you remove cookies with it, it will wipe out various
settings such as remembered user names and card numbers at bank sites; if
your system was or is infected, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. You
should keep an eye on your bank accounts for signs of suspicious activity
(transactions you did not make).
