These nonsense filenames suggest malware.
What antivirus procedures do you follow?

Actually, those nonsense file names indicate malware/virus infection that's
been removed, but not the shortcuts/registry entries that are trying to load
them. See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
will show you what's loading (or trying to) at startup and from where. The
included help will assist you in removing unwanted items.

I am using Norton Internet Security 2008 the version that allows it to be
installed onto 3 seperate machines.

Every time i start up my computer, I am greeted with this message:

Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\bameysmy.dll

I have no idea what this is, and would like to remove this warning, can you
suggest how?

Joni - easiest way - start, regedit , find all .dll`s of that name and
delete . ( after backing up registry ) .[ You gotta bug ]

A Google search for "bameysmy.dll" brought up nothing. When you don't get
any hits for a file name on Google, chances are high that it is a malware
file. Either you uninstalled the malware program or your
antivirus/antispyware program did. In any case, a reference was left to the
file in Startup. You can remove the reference by managing your Startup.

Because you had one piece of malware, the chances are also high that you had
others. It would be a good idea to scan. I recommend downloading and
installing MalwareBytes' Antimalware (MBAM) from
http://www.malwarebytes.org. The program is free. (There is a paid version
but you don't need to buy it to remove malware.)

Manage Startup:

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and
find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK
out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll
get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in
effect, "don't bother me about this again".

The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup -

Your issue is a prime example of why good registry cleaners are needed.
Don't listen to the others who say registry cleaners are "snake oil". To fix
your issue automatically, download CCleaner from here
http://www.ccleaner.com/ install it and when you run it select the registry
icon on the left to clean your registry. Let it fix all but choose to backup
when prompted. Your problem should then be fixed.
