run-time error 75

Hello again, once again the computers are acting up.

I posted previously about not being able to close Internet
Explorer. after trying the fix, the computer boots up
faster, but i can still not close internet explorer. this
applies to file/close as well as clicking on X. this does
not apply when logged into the administrator account, only
in the student. and to top it off, now when logging into
the student account, the desktop appears, the icons appear
and a small box pop's up that says, Run-time error 75,
Path/File access error.

I searched the knowledge base for run-time error 75, but
did not find anything. i searched for Path/file access
error and it gave me answers for visual basic and MS
Access.

once more, please help

thank you

There may be some third-party component that is loading up and causing
problems.
To disable these:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Clear the checkbox for "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) found in Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
If this works, then you can proceed to delete the one(s) causing the
problem:
- Run Regedit
- Entries for browser extensions will be found in the below key.
Export and delete the suspect ones.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extensions

Thanks Jason, I did that and found that in the registry there is no entry
for the key you specify. I unchecked the box in internet options but still
have the problem.

Since the problem does not happen with the administrator account I was
thinking that the only way out of this is to delete the student account and
create another. If I create it without copying the settings of the original
student account would I have the same problems?
