Root drive shows as 'picture'

I have two drives, C and D. On drive D the root folder is set as a
picture folder, and I have no idea how to change it. If I click on Up a
directory, I get to the my computer screen (obviously) and I cannot seem
to change the attributes from there.

I assumed that the information was held in the thumbs.db file in the
root of D, but Explorer will not show it, and Search doesnt list it.
From the command prompt I can see that it has Archive, System and Read
attribute set, but I cannot change them with the attrib command, nor can
I delete it (which I assume would reset it to default)

Help!

You have pictures only on D or at least in two sub folders deep?

Yes I do, but not on the root of the drive, I have them both one and two
deep. I also have zips and other programs, nothing except folders
resides on root of the D drive. Is this is normal behavour? I dont
remember seeing this before. To be honest, it doesnt bother me except
for a slight delay accessing folders, my main concern was this was some
form of corruption.

Is there any way of just having the root folder 'normal'.

Thanks for your assistance.

It has probably been set to be your 'My Pictures' folder. Use TweakUI -
one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its My Computer - Special Folders page; select My Pictures and see, you
can then point it elsewhere if you like (to some folder that actually
exists)
