I have a very strange problem. It started almost 2 weeks ago and continues.
Each day I get about 5 users that call me saying they can't open outlook and
all their recent docs, internet favorites etc are missing. I look in their
profile and notice that the ntsuer.dat file in only 256kb in size.
I go to tape backup and can do a restore from the night before and it fixes
all their problems. So it appears that the ntuser.dat file is getting
corrupt, not when they logoff because the tape backup copy is good, but must
be happening when they logon.
We use roaming profiles. I have folder redirection setup in group policy
only for the Desktop and My documents folder. I also have delete cached
copies of roaming profiles activated.
Someone please tell me they have seen this before. heh. I appreciate any
suggestions.
