RIS Image Display Resolution

I have tried this with both XP and W2K images now, but it seems that
if I riprep a machine that has it's resolution set to 1024x768, when I
use that image on a new PC, it defaults to 800x600.

I can then change it back easily (i.e. the option for 1024x768 is
there) but why is it not RIS-ing as 1024x768 in the first place?

Any ideas?

Dont you have to put that in some sort of unattend file?
I know for sysprep you have to set the display settings or it uses the
defaults.
[Display]
BitsPerPel=16
Xresolution=800
YResolution=600
