Right clicking jpg files

I seem to have lost several options when I right click jpg files, including setting image as desktop background or wallpaper. Isn't this the default setting when using Windows Picture and Fax viewer to view saved image files? How do I get these options back when I right click jpg's, because oddly, GIF files still list the option to set as desktop background when I right click?

Are you right clicking an open image, a
thumbnail or a file name? The reason I
ask is because I only get the Background
option on fully open images and thumbs...
not on a file name in a folder where I have
the View settings on List, Details, Icons or
Tiles.

Anyway...try this, maybe it will restore
the options:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

If that fails, maybe the following article will offer
something useful:

Your Desktop Background Image

Thank you so much, "REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL" did the trick and brought back all the old options for right clickage
