HKCR is built from HKLM\Software\Classes and HKCU\Software\Classes. A standard computer has no user entries. But if software is installed per user then it goes into hkcu\software\classes and overrides hklm settings. In this case editing HKCR will change HKCU (which a user can do). If not editing HKCR will change HKLM which only admins can do (but the user can go to HKCU\Software|Classes and ooverride system defaults for themselves.

Hi Kelly,

Do you mean that [Start] | Run | shellnew [Enter] is valid only if MS Office is installed?

I sent that email only once. Are the Date-stamps on all three emails identical?
