Overview

RF Types (Registered File Types) is a small utility that simplifies the
viewing of registered file extensions on your system.

Unlike the Windows utility that allows the same, RF Types allows you to see
which file's are registered for the "Open With" dialog, without your having
to actually do anything first.

RF Types features include;

View registered file types
Filter "Open With" key's
Import/Export registry key's (individual key, list of key's, whole
registry)
Backup registry and/or registry key's
Save list of file types for viewing in Notepad, or alternative editor(s)

Updates

Minor bug fixes
Slight GUI change
New "extended" save list added
"Open With" list items now colored (to make them more distinct)

Thanks, Steve, it really works nice. It alerted me to still more garbage
that JustZipit put in my registry.

What would be recommended to find ALL instances of a program in the
registry and then delete them?

Mike Sa

I don't trust any application to be able to do that. All I do is run
Regcleaner, then go through the registry myself, and remove anything it's
left beind manually (backing up as I go for obvious reasons).

I ran RegCleaner, it can delete selected keys, but a slow process.

I ran RegSeeker, it found all instances of the program, I could select
all and delete all. I understand your comment though, reg cleaning is a
risky business.

I must admit, RegCleaner is kind of slow, just a pity the developer isn't
working on it any longer (would have asked to have it sped up).

Never tried RegSeeker myself...... might have to do that sometime ;o)
