I have had the "Return Receipt Request" feature for both the display and
delivery of e-mail messages checked for quite some time now. However, since
I noticed I wasn't receiving the receipt notifications any more, I went back
in and discovered several weeks ago that it had become unchecked.
However, even though I re-checked those features, I am still unable to
receive either display or receive notifications (I have tried sending notes
to myself and even though it does ask me if I want to send a return receipt,
since one has been requested, no return receipt is ever sent, from what I can
tell, since it doesn't even reach my inbox on my earthlink web mail server).
Any ideas as to what might have caused the problem and how I can get this
feature working properly again?

installed Office XP service Pack 3.
