return of MM1

Well;
i have been telling the story of my lost MM1.
I uninstalled windows sp1 and turned my camcorder on and
it is back.
I pressed record with the camera in the play setting and
actualy playing and it said "unable to create log" any
ideas? My husband is saying something about having to
take MM1 out and putting MM2 in as he said that he has
read that.
If I go into the camera software Pixela it
sayc "camcorder not found"
Any ideas now that mm1 is actualy there?
By the way although I have MM1 back if I go to
start\prog\accesories\entertainment, movie maker isnt
there!!!

Any thoughts please

I got the last bit wrong but I went and did what you said
and it's not there!!
i am wondering whether to try and uninstal mm1 and instal
mm2???
What do you think??

If I understand correctly you do not have SP1 installed
I would first reinstall SP1 and all windows security updates, this MUST be
more important than mm2.
Then try to update from mm1 to mm2 using windows update.
