Restore Points disappearing

I'm not sure what I'm doing to make restore points disappear, but it
bothers me that they are. :/ Is there a third party utility out
there that will let me save the registry and other important settings
to a file... a file that won't go away when I'm doing whatever I do to
kill the restore points. I do make complete backups of my system using
BackupMyPC. Could this be clearing my archive bit on whereever the
restore points live? Thanks.

Many things can cause loss of Restore Points, when they are gone, they
are gone and can not be recovered or used.
Some of the things are:
Available space on hard drive
Computer usage
Space you dedicate to System Restore

If you use Real Player, try doing without it for a few days:
