Restore document in taskbar

I am using IE 6.0 and Windows XP.Until recently, when I did a left click on a
document or program button in the middle section of the taskbar, the page or
document opened on the screen. Now when a minmized document is left clicked
it doesn't reopen. I have to right click on it and then left click on either
restore or maximize to open it on the monitor. Does anyone know how to change
the setting or default to open them up with one left click. I am using IE 6.0
and Windows XP
