Restoration Incomplete

As advised by computer company tech support, I tried to
perform system restore. But no matter which date I
chose, after the computer went through the restoration
process it would give me a "restoration incomplete"
message and told me to pick another date. Could someone
tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks.

There is probably corrupted data in the System Restore files.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
