Restoing user account's configuration settings hijacked by microsoft ASP.Net

Is there some reliable way to restore user accoount's configuration
settings(to default stage), hijacked by microsoft ASP.Net accounts? After
installing HP software, it reconfigured default admin settings, and
installed, it seems, Net Framework(required for it work?). This NET
Framework created additional user account called ASP.NET 'protected'..
What this change: it add admin pane(that not been shown before), now
windows show admin pane when power on /off, or system idle: "To begin, click
your user name". Also, when shut down or restart, admin splash window
appears with dropdown selector: 'turn on, restart, or shutdown' ... This is
not default options we had before. How to restore the default settings?
I find no clear and correct way, also, all this manipulations with user
account setting may cause reg errors, and may crash account so user can no
log anymore..

thanks

You do not need to restore anything and nothing has been "hijacked" or
hacked. This is way too dramatic a response to something simple. Take a
deep cleansing breath.

For an explanation of the ASP.NET account, see:

http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/aspdot.php

For a completely easy, safe, and simple fix go to Windows Update and
download/install the latest patch for .Net 1.1. This will return your
machine to its accustomed behavior.

well. I am not sure at 100% that this issue due ASP.NET accounts(at least
one PC have this ASP.NET account). This appears after installing HP
software. I unchecked top box in 'User accounts' and admin pane no longer
appears. But one small annoying box still remains - each time I want shut
down or restart PC, this box with dropdown selector appears and duplicates
my actions..

thanks.

The HP software installed .Net 1.1. If you will update .Net 1.1 as I
suggested, all will be well.

The best way is to go to Windows Update and choose "Custom" (or whatever the
wording is - not Express) and then you will be presented with the correct
updates for your system. There have been several for .Net 1.1 - a Service
Pack and a security update.

If you do not have Service Pack 1/2 and therefore cannot use Windows
Updates, go to www.microsoft.com and then click on Downloads. At the
Download page search for ".Net 1.1" and you'll be presented with all the
downloads connected with that program.

You don't want the downloads for .Net 2.0 - that is a different framework
than .Net 1.1.

This PC have automatic updates enabled, and it's SP2. So, if this a
NET.Framework is problem, why relevant updates can no solve this problem???
Interface completely differs from original(no ms win alert box with
senseless prompts was originally..)

Why are you arguing with me about this instead of simply going to WU or MS
Downloads and getting what you need? I've told you what you need to do and
I don't have anything more to add to this thread.

If applying the patches to .Net 1.1 don't help - and they have helped all
the thousands and thousands of other people with the problem - then contact
HP tech support for what their software did to your computer.

Following this advice, I updated the Net 1.1, and installed this
update(>10MB)..
What I got - the same thing, nothing changed. Same "nice box" with drop-down
selectors... Why I need this selectors?
Moreover, in order to get a Net 1.1 update, I was forced to install an extra
program, microsoft WGA utility , to obtain update from microsoft download
Center. Since my windows is genuine, i do not see any reason check this
again and again, and install next portion of unnecessary dlls and ocx, my
system resources is too small, to place there a great number of superfluous
things.

I need removal instruction how to remove WGA.
