Respond witch changed attachement

J

Joerg

When I get an email with an attachement (Word, Excel etc),
I open the attachement, make changes, and want to send the
changed attachement back. Is there a simpler way, other
than first saving the attachement to a selected folder,
and then attaching it again to the reply?

WinXP, Office XP

Thanks

Not really as you are editing the document in a temporay location, I hope
you are aware of that. What you can do if you open the attachment directly
from Outlook is after you made your changes in Word you choose File-> Send
To-> Mail Recipient (as attachmnet)...

Hope this helps!

Now I get you better. You want to edit the attachment and you want to reply
at the e-mail at the same time with the changed attachment.

Here is what you can do;
Since replying doesn't include the attachment you'll need to forward the
message. This will leave the document attached. From the forward open the
attachment, edit it, press save and close the program in which you edited
the attachment. You'll be back to the message now. Type the body of the
e-mail and fill in the To field and send the message.

Hope this helps!
